If you are holding your ceremony / formation at an Approved Venue in Bedford Borough you are required to book with them directly before reserving the Registrars.

Appointments to register births and deaths and notices of marriage or civil partnerships take place Monday - Saturday at Borough Hall, Cauldwell Street, Bedford. MK42 9AP  

Notice Appointments - 

If your marriage or civil partnership is subject to immigration control, you may need to give notice together and one or both partners must be resident in Bedford Borough. 

Legally you must give notice between 29 days and one year before your ceremony. If your notice period is extended because of a referral to the Home Office the notice period may be longer.

Notices are usually valid for 12 months. If your notice expires or you change your venue, you must give notice again and pay the fee. 

A booking fee is payable - please have your debit/credit card available.
